Graduation Ceremony and Commencement of Diamond Jubilee Celebrations at Sainik School Ghorakhal

Sainik School Ghorakhal celebrated the Graduation Ceremony (Class XII) on 29th Mar 2025 with great enthusiasm and grandeur. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Sri Ajay Tamta, Hon’ble Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways, who attended as the Chief Guest. Gp Capt VS Dangwal, the Principal warmly welcomed the esteemed Chief Guest.

The event commenced with the School Band Display in honor of the distinguished guest followed by the group photograph with passing out cadets and most importantly, the cadets who had cleared the SSB for NDA and likely to join soon. The Distinguished Guest, the Principal and Mrs Sweta Dangwal illuminated the ceremonial lamp, signifying the auspicious occasion followed by the Principal’s address to outgoing class. In his address, he mentioned that those years had been replete with trials, enlightenment and growth. He added that cadets had been equipped not solely for academic triumph but for becoming the responsible citizens of the country. He urged the cadets to stay connected and share their achievements as there is no greater joy than witnessing the success of the cadets.

Thereafter, a brief history of SSGK was highlighted and showcased to the audience. The ceremony marked the beginning of the school’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations with a special cake-cutting ceremony. The evening progressed with a cultural program, where cadets showcased their talents through a vibrant display of music, dance and theatrical performances. Through the culturals, a sincere attempt was made to spread awareness on a grave social issue of cleanliness. This was much appreciated by one and all present.

Thereafter, the Chief Guest felicitated the outgoing cadets including the previous batch cadets who had cleared the SSB. Adding to the significance of the occasion, the school also unveiled its Annual Magazine, ‘The Pines’ highlighting the achievements and contributions of cadets and faculty. The magazine provides a platform to the cadets to reflect their imagination and creativity. Hon’ble Minister, Sri Ajay Tamta felicitated the Magazine Editors, Dr Shalini Misra (English) and Mrs Geeta Durgapal (Hindi) for the commendable job.

Further, the newly renovated, fully equipped kitchen was inaugurated. This is in line with the efforts of the School Administration to enhance the infrastructure facilities for the cadets. Addressing the gathering, Hon’ble Minister, Sri Ajay Tamta praised the discipline and dedication of the cadets and encouraged them to strive for excellence in their future endeavors. He mentioned that it’s a matter of pride to receive education at this prestigious institution. He also shared the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Sri Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047 and urged the cadets to contribute to its success in their own capacity in future. The event concluded with the presentation of the souvenir to the Chief Guest by the Principal, Gp Capt VS Dangwal.
