An academic excursion was organised for a group of cadets, including 21 boys of Class X and 10 girls of Class IX, from Sainik School Ghorakhal.This tour aimed at the all-round development of the cadets. During this trip, the cadets visited Rashtriya Indian Military College, Forest Research Institute, Indian Military Academy, the most cherished dream destination of all cadets and State Legislative Assembly. Visiting such glorious and significant places left a lasting impression on the cadets.
The Forest Research Institute is a Natural Resource Service training institute of the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education and is an institution in the field of forestry research in India for Indian Forest Service cadres and all State Forest Service cadres. It was an amazing experience for the cadets to witness this prestigious institute.
In the subsequent phase of the visit, the cadets embarked on a comprehensive exploration of the Vidhan Sabha’s premises. The sight of ‘Vidhan Sabha’ was awe inspiring. During this immersive experience, cadets learnt about the democratic structure of state assembly, their functionality and legislative proceedings.
Cadets got the precious opportunity to witness the full dress rehearsal of the official Graduation Ceremony (Passing Out Parade) at IMA.The glorious sight inspired the cadets to take pride in the uniform and serve the nation.The most encouraging and inspiring part of the trip was to meet Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami at his residence today, on 10 Dec. The visit was organized as part of an educational and leadership development program aimed at providing the cadets with insights into governance and inspiring them to serve the nation.
During the interaction, the Chief Minister affectionately welcomed the cadets and commended them for their discipline, dedication and commitment to the ideals of patriotism. Addressing the young future leaders, he emphasized the importance of education, resilience and determination in achieving their goals.
The cadets were given an opportunity to ask questions and the Chief Minister shared inspiring anecdotes from his own life and encouraged them to strive for excellence in all spheres.This interaction underscores the Uttarakhand government’s commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering leadership qualities among the youth of the State.
The visit concluded with a group photograph and the presentation of a souvenir by the school Principal, Gp Capt VS Dangwal to the Chief Minister on behalf of Sainik School Ghorakhal. The cadets expressed their gratitude for the warm hospitality and valuable insights, which they described as a motivating experience.
This tour not only entertained the cadets of Sainik School Ghorakhal but also provided them with opportunities to enhance their experience and knowledge.
