

SPIC MACAY EVENING AT SAINIK SCHOOL GHORAKHAL
Sainik School Ghorakhal organized a vibrant cultural programme under the aegis of SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) on Sep 25, 2025. The distinguished guests in attendance included Mrs Sweta Dangwal, Mrs Ruchika Sajwan and Colonel Amitabh Solanki (Retd), an esteemed alumnus of SSGK. The programme was sponsored by the Old Boys’ Association. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The highlight of the evening was a mesmerizing performance of the traditional Chhau Dance by renowned artist Sri Tarapada Rajak and his talented team of performers.
The artists enthralled the audience with their rhythmic movements, graceful expressions, and powerful storytelling that brought to life the rich heritage of Indian folk traditions. The cadets, staff and guests were deeply inspired by the performance, which reflected the beauty of India’s cultural diversity.
Gp Capt VS Dangwal, the Principal, staff, and cadets expressed their heartfelt gratitude to SPIC MACAY for providing such a platform that connects young cadets with the timeless traditions of our country. The artists were honored by the distinguished dignitaries in attendance. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of Sri Tarapada Rajak and his team for their captivating presentation.
